An organization for non–profit making, non-political, non religious and developmental oriented grass root level facilitator established in the year 2000 with joint hand effort of twelve enthusiasm persons from West district of Sikkim with their commendable developmental profile. It was named with traditional words inclusion and had been formally registered under societies registration act 1860 in the year 2001. Keeping the motto “Marching with unity, Prosper with dedication” in mind always, it has been able to completed one decade of its glorious journey towards the community empowerment with several up & downs experiences to fit on today’s confident position as development facilitator.   
        
With the initiative to sustain the platform, ANDS always realizes that the NGOs role should be professional as systematic as distinct, so that the key developmental inputs as holistic approach for economic empowerment can be run by the society itself with the concept of the people, by the people and for the people. Community based sustainable development is the basic of ANDS’s approach to working with the poor and oppressed across the impact areas. In fact it is not possible to ensure total development of any society without equipping the family and the community. Over the one decade, ANDS invested the efforts in creating communities that are independent. Our grass roots development facilitator worked closely with community organizations on key development issues. It celebrates several credible community transformations that we have had the privilege of partnering. ANDS is operationally active in the states of Sikkim. It has its head quarter based in Martam village under Gyalshing block of West district of Sikkim, which location is considered as one of interior, backward and disadvantaged place of the respective state. This gives ANDS great pride as it works among the vulnerable community for their sustainable development in practical. In a nutshell, through ANDS, it envisions a world without apathy and indifference; a society where every individual is aware of social issues and takes action towards addressing these problems.

Positive response from the society has given impetus to it’s various initiatives that have beneficiaries across the social spectrum. ANDS stands as a well structured voluntary body with definite social aims and objectives. It strives to focus on overall social welfare through various initiatives. ANDS’s activities have been executed with internal and external resources in its operational areas through innovative drives and methods. Development is not a hand out but a hand up. It is about enabling and equipping communities understand that they can solve their problems on their own. When the villagers of started off with their own production unit few years back they were apprehensive about their future. But now, not only are the families making enough money to send their children to school and keep them healthy, that they also know that they can change their future with their own effort.

Basic Aim & Objective                                                                                                                                  
To make the people self reliance, self employed through promoting different income generating schemes such as, Agriculture, Horticulture, Tourism, Local Environmental Resources, Vocational trainings, Handicrafts and Hand-loom, Water & Water Resources, Natural Resource Management.                                  
To Empower Women, for their maximum participation in overall activities in societies and they will be facilitated for much priority of the society.                      
To bring awareness in Health care and Education among rural and poor people by organizing Health awareness programs and Literacy Mission respectively and also safeguard the Disabilities.                                                                                                                                                                                              
To organized Seminars and Workshops for the diffusion of knowledge to the rural people including Health Education and Agriculture.                                      
To create awareness about Health, Environment and Rural Technology among the rural people of Sikkim and follow up the acceptable policy being implemented by different Governmental and Non Governmental Organization.                                                                                                                                           
To conserve Biological Resources because of their critical role in meeting Humans needs and maintaining Local and Global Ecological Stability.                      
To promote Games and Sports as its a vital role in Building Communal Harmony among the people points always makes people positive thinking and Healthy Behaviors.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 
To work as a relief, rehabilitation and Disaster Management, whereas sense of urgency is required damage areas caused by Natural Clematises.
